About Mottl Builders & Cabinetry

Almost a century ago Mottl Builders was born when Joseph Mottl, a stone mason from Czechoslovakia, came to the United States and began to build quality custom homes. Coming from Eastern Europe, Joseph knew how to build long-lasting homes that performed comfortably under all types of weather. Many of his homes are still around today!

Today the Mottl legacy and tradition continues with Joseph's grandson Jeff Mottl. Jeff started building homes and doing renovations right after he finished school in 1985. In order to broaden his skill set, Jeff decided to first work under a different building firm where he learned new and different carpentry techniques, home construction management & budgeting, and finish carpentry work. After widening his skills and gaining new ones, Jeff restarted the Mottl Builders company, honoring what his grandfather started a century ago. Thus in 1992 Mottl Builders reopened. The rejuvenated company offered historical, traditional, modern as well as state-of-the-art construction services to the Boston region.

As the Mottl Builders reputation grew, so did the demand for more intricate and complicated builds. Jeff continued to focus more on the delicate type of mill-work; building stair systems, artisan doors, vanities, furniture and carpentry. He quickly realized that his true passion was doing custom woodworking and so the companies set of services slowly evolved. Today Mottl Builders and Custom Cabinetry is synonymous with high-end cabinetry, kitchens, and custom furniture. After building hundreds of custom kitchens, walk-in wardrobes, furniture pieces, unique doors, stairs and vanities, the company continues to offer its services to the greater Boston region and hopes to do so for many years to come.
